Chas will speak on “How to grow as a musky angler throughout the season.” These strategies and tactics will make you a success.

Chas Martin is a high school science teacher who’s passion for chasing monster muskies, bass and walleye got him into outdoor education!

In order to pursue my passion for outdoor education I started Musky Mastery Guide Service in 2006, a multi-species guide service specializing in musky and bass. Based out of Three Lakes, Wisconsin I focus my guiding on the famous Three Lakes and Eagle River chain as well as the Sugar Camp chain but I do not limit myself to just these great bodies of water alone. I have found success on many other lakes and flowages in Vilas, Oneida and Forest counties and scouting, dialing-in and catching fish on new lakes and chains has become an obsession!
I pride myself on running a guide service dedicated to educating the angler as a whole. Catching big muskies and bass is of course a top priority while out on the water but I also strive to answer some of the more challenging questions for my clients, such as why I choose to fish specific locations and implement certain techniques based on the time of the season. Locating and catching fish consistently, any time throughout the changing seasons is a challenge, so I rely on my background in ecology to help me and I want to pass this knowledge on to my customers.
Another core aspect of my guide service is my focus on teaching “fundamental skills” and “doing the right things right!” Knowing where to go and what to throw isn’t enough to stay consistent in catching trophy muskies and bass. You must also have a sound understanding of the basics and these skills must be mastered! From casting and figure-8’ing to working different lures and maintaining boat position in any condition, I truly enjoy working with customers and helping them hone their skills in these areas.
